Charging

The act of creating a charge.

Batteries go from 'empty' (discharged) to 'full' (charged) by applying a voltage to the battery that is higher than the voltage of the battery. Current will then flow in to the battery which will result in a chemical process that stores the 'charge'. Not all batteries can be charged.
